Obedience

Obedience is a huge theme in the Bible and crucial to Christian living and, indeed, to our salvation.

That is a surprise to many people. We need to distinguish carefully between the idea that we can earn God's favour (and hence our salvation) by doing good things and the fact that those who respond to God's grace are called to obey Him. In other words, obedience is a response to God's grace but it is a necessary response.
